Audi Lighting Technology: What Sets Us Apart

When Audi uses a slogan that means “Progression through Technology,” we mean it. The brand has taken lighting technology to a whole new level, making it the innovative leader in the field. The new, unique style is expressive and communicates to others on the road in an exciting way. Here’s all the latest Audi technology offers, especially in the 2024 RS Q8.
 

New Ways to Light Up the Road

Audi has introduced a Matrix design of lights at the front. There are more than a million micromirrors, which means you’ll present your beams in a brand-new way to those around you. There’s also a blue laser light in the front light housing, which will assist your high beams most when you need them. Daytime LED running lights let everyone know where you are on the road, and you can personalize them with custom DRLs. At the back, you have lightweight OLEDs in segmented lights that alert drivers to your braking more effectively.

Animation and Projection

Part of the new Audi lighting technology project is a new animation design. When you leave or arrive at your home, the front and rear lights display running or animated lights as you lock or unlock your vehicle. Switching on your turning signals will also turn heads with the trailing lights, like a scene from Knight Rider.  The matrix front lights also have the ability to project images onto a surface ahead of you for when you really want to announce your arrival.

Lighting up the Interior

Three significant lighting improvements appear on the inside of select Audi vehicles. The first is the primary lights for the driver and front passenger, boasting 30 choices for various colours to set the mood for your next trip. For your rear passengers, matrix LED lights appear again so they can have proper lighting for reading. Finally, you have transition lighting on the door sills when entering or exiting the car, helping you watch your step at night.
